Although this year has shown us new ways of dressing up our hair through braids and curls, you can now add twists to this too! Straight from the runways and streets of New York, the low side ponytail with a twist is the new trend of this season. With the windy Canberra weather causing havoc to our neatly styled hair, the side twist is tidy, smart and will also stay in place.

The easy way to achieve this is by pulling back your hair into a low ponytail, positioning it slightly to the side, and use a curling wand or the beloved GHD hair straightener and curl the thick masses of hair. Make sure the curls are pulled together to form one massive twist, and use some hairspray and styling product to make sure it can hold it’s own against our fashion fiend, the wind!
